About Visagrad

Built by a student. For the next ones.

Visagrad started because Ayush watched too many friends get sold dreams instead of helped through doors. Today it's a small team with one rule: tell the truth, every time.

The founder's story

"I stood where you stand — once."

The first time I tried to apply to a European university, I had 41 tabs open. I closed my laptop at 3 a.m. and didn't open it again for a week.

The advice I got was either too vague to act on or too expensive to trust. Agents quoted me ₹2 lakh for a "premium package" and couldn't tell me the difference between a public German university and a private one. One told me I needed IELTS to study in Germany. I didn't.

I made it across eventually — the long way, with a stack of rejection emails and one near-miss visa interview. When I arrived in Europe and started getting messages from juniors back home asking "how did you do it," I realized something: the problem wasn't talent. The problem was access to honest information.

Every student I help is a younger version of me — staring at 41 tabs, wondering if any of this is real.

Visagrad started in 2022 as one founder answering DMs at midnight. It's grown, but the rule hasn't: we tell the truth even when it costs us the deal. We don't sell packages we wouldn't buy ourselves. We don't take fees until there's an offer letter in hand.

We're not the world's biggest consultancy. We're trying to be the most honest. If that matters to you, we should talk.

— Ayush, Founder of Visagrad

Why we exist

The consultancy market is broken.

Most agents are paid by universities, not by you. That single fact warps every piece of advice you'll ever get from them. We chose the harder business model so we could give the simpler answers.

The old way

  • Opaque packages. Pay ₹2 lakh upfront for "services" you never quite get a list of.
  • Commission-driven. Agents push you toward the universities that pay them, not the ones that fit you.
  • Sales pressure. Decisions about your next four years made on a Friday night WhatsApp call.
  • Disappearance at the gate. Visa stamped, agent vanishes. You figure out housing and bank accounts alone.

The Visagrad way

  • Pay on outcome. No fee until you have a real offer letter. Skin in your game.
  • Fit over flag. We recommend the university that suits your goals, not the one that signs us a partnership cheque.
  • No pressure, ever. Free 30-minute call. We tell you if Visagrad isn't right for you. Some people just need information, not us.
  • We stay past the stamp. Housing, bank, SIM, culture shock, oral exam panic — we're on WhatsApp through your first semester.

Four principles

Rules we won't break.

01

Tell the truth, even when it costs us.

If your profile can't get into ETH Zürich this year, we say so on call one. We'd rather lose a customer than waste a year of your life chasing the wrong door.

02

You pay when you have an offer letter.

No upfront packages. No "registration fees." No surprises in month three. Our model is aligned with yours — if you don't get in, we don't get paid.

03

Stay after the visa stamp.

Most consultancies disappear at airport security. We're a WhatsApp away through your first winter in Munich, your first oral exam in Budapest, your first lonely Sunday in Madrid.

04

Match to fit, not to flag.

We won't push you toward a country because we have a partnership cheque waiting there. We push you toward the city that makes sense for your discipline, your budget, and your life.
