Why Spain

Four reasons it's
our most-booked destination.

Spain isn't the loudest destination. It's the smartest one for most of the students we work with — and the data backs it.

01 — Tuition

Public unis from €1,000/year

Catalan and Valencian public universities are among Europe's most affordable. Even at Madrid and Barcelona, you'll rarely pay over €4,500/year — a fraction of UK or US rates.

02 — Language

300+ programs taught in English

Especially masters and MBAs. You don't need Spanish to apply, study, or graduate — though you'll absorb it living there, which is a quiet bonus on any CV.

03 — Scholarships

Real money for non-EU students

MAEC-AECID, Erasmus+, Santander, university merit awards — our average Spain-bound student receives between €4,000 and €12,000 in funding over their program.

04 — Life

Climate, culture, and a soft landing

Mediterranean weather, low cost of living outside the two big cities, and one of Europe's largest international student communities — including a substantial South Asian diaspora.

Spain FAQ

Questions students ask us
every week.

Do I need to speak Spanish?

+

No, not for English-taught programs (300+ available). You'll pick up Spanish living there, which is useful socially and for part-time work, but it's not required to apply, study, or graduate.

Can I work while studying?

+

Yes — up to 20 hours per week during term and full-time during holidays, with a student visa. After graduation, you can apply for a 1-year job-search visa to look for full-time work.

Madrid or Barcelona?

+

Honestly — it depends on your program and personality. Madrid is bigger, faster, more international business focus. Barcelona is creative, design-and-tech leaning, multilingual (Catalan + Spanish). We help you pick on the discovery call.

What about smaller cities — is the quality lower?

+

Valencia, Granada, Salamanca, Sevilla — public universities here are excellent and often older than the Madrid/Barcelona giants. Cost of living is 40–50% lower. Highly recommended if you want quality without the big-city price.

Do Indian / Bangladeshi / Pakistani students face extra scrutiny?

+

South Asian visa applications are scrutinized more carefully on financial proof and "intent to return" criteria — but rejection rates remain low for properly prepared files. Our 94% success rate includes a large share of South Asian students.

Can I bring my spouse or family?

+

Yes — student visa holders can apply for family reunification once the residence card (TIE) is issued, typically after the first year. Spouses get work rights once they have their own TIE.
