FAQ

Every question. Answered honestly.

Seven categories. The questions students actually ask us. If yours isn't here, message us and we'll answer it, and probably add it to this page.

Category 01

About Visagrad

Who is Visagrad for?

+

Students from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, African countries, and Latin America who want to study in Europe, primarily Spain, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland and the broader EU. Undergrad, master's and PhD candidates, both budget-conscious and premium-track.

How do you work with students?

+

Wherever you are. We support students across India, South Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe over WhatsApp, video and email, seven days a week, so there's always someone to turn to the moment a real decision needs making, no office hours, no waiting on a time zone.

How is Visagrad different from a typical study-abroad agent?

+

Four ways: we work as a bespoke advisor with a fee tailored to your needs, not a fixed package; we shortlist 8 universities, not 30; we coach SOPs, not write them; we stay reachable after the visa stamp.

Do you take commissions from universities?

+

No. Our revenue comes only from the advisory fees students agree with us, never from universities. We never push students toward institutions that pay referral commissions.

Category 02

Counseling & applications

Why only eight universities? Other agents give me thirty.

+

Because eight is what you can apply to well. Thirty applications means generic SOPs, missed deadlines, and €3,000+ in application fees. Eight tailored applications beat thirty rushed ones every time.

My grades aren't great. Can you still help?

+

Yes. There are excellent options for non-traditional applicants in Hungary, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, and many German Fachhochschulen that welcome students with 55 to 65% averages. We find programs where you compete realistically.

Can I take just counseling, without the other services?

+

Yes. Each of our services stands alone. Many students take just counseling, use the shortlist to apply themselves, and come back later for scholarships, SOPs or visas.

When should I start the process?

+

Ideally 8 to 12 months before your intended start date. Scholarship deadlines (especially Stipendium Hungaricum and DAAD) require an even earlier start.

Category 03

Scholarships & funding

Are scholarships only for top GPA students?

+

No. Government and EU scholarships do weight GPA, but need-based aid, foundation scholarships and regional grants weight other factors: community work, professional experience, social impact, financial need.

Can I get fully funded studies in Europe?

+

Yes, for specific routes. Stipendium Hungaricum and Erasmus Mundus cover full tuition plus monthly stipend plus housing. DAAD and MAEC-AECID approach full funding for selected students.

Will I actually get a scholarship?

+

Many of our coached students win some form of scholarship or aid. We are honest about your real odds before you pay, never an inflated promise.

Category 04

Tests & documents

Which English test should I take?

+

Depends on your target universities. IELTS is most widely accepted. TOEFL is preferred at some programs. PTE is fast and growing. Duolingo is accepted at some private universities. We tell you the right one for your shortlist.

Can I skip the English test entirely?

+

Sometimes. Many universities accept Medium of Instruction letters if you studied entirely in English. Germany and Hungary are particularly flexible. We check this first.

Will you write my SOP for me?

+

No. We coach. We ask the right questions, identify the stories, give structural and grammar feedback. The words must be yours, consultant-written SOPs are detected almost universally now.

Category 05

Visa & arrival

How likely is my student visa to be approved?

+

Prepared files clear at a high rate across our destinations. Spain and Hungary tend to be smoother; Germany is stricter on financial scrutiny. We tell you where your file stands before you apply.

What happens if my visa is rejected?

+

It is rare. We prepare your file to clear the bar the first time, and you submit your own application with our guidance at every step. If a refusal does happen, we help you understand exactly why, then build a stronger appeal and reapplication together, as part of your agreed engagement with us. You are never left to face it alone.

What is the German blocked account (Sperrkonto)?

+

A bank account in Germany where you deposit €11,904 before applying for the visa, as proof of funds. After arrival, the money releases to you at €992/month. It's not a fee, it's your money, parked.

Category 06

Pricing & fees

How much does Visagrad cost?

+

The first discovery call is free. We're a bespoke advisory: after the call and a full evaluation of your profile, we agree an advisory fee tailored to your needs and goals. Exact numbers shared transparently and in writing, with zero pressure.

When is the fee agreed?

+

After the free discovery call and a full evaluation of your profile. We scope the advisory work to your needs and goals, then agree the fee in writing before you commit. No surprises later.

Do you have payment plans?

+

Yes, for students with funding gaps. We can split the advisory fee into installments aligned with your timeline and scholarship release dates.

Category 07

After graduation

Can I stay in Europe after my course?

+

Yes, every destination we cover has a post-study work pathway. Germany: 18 months. Ireland: 2 years. Netherlands: 1-year orientation visa. Spain and Italy: 1 year. Hungary: 9 months.

Can I get permanent residency?

+

Most EU countries grant permanent residency after 5 years of legal residence, including your study years. EU Blue Card holders in Germany can apply after 21 to 33 months.
